Rebecca Maher

Principal, Design & Construction

Rebecca Maher is a principal at Kensington Investment Group, where she is primarily responsible for overseeing and directing the Design and Construction Department for Kensington’s portfolio of assets. Based in San Francisco, CA, Rebecca takes a strategic "return on design investment" approach to the construction process where each detail is carefully crafted with purpose and flexibility. This, combined with her prior industry focus on market research and digital advertising has shaped her into a strong proponent of an evidence-based design process.

Prior to joining Kensington Investment Group, Rebecca worked at Rosetta, a large digital marketing agency with industry-leading clients such as Samsung, Apple and Cisco. At Rosetta, Rebecca worked on developing various brand marketing programs across the hospitality and tech industries. She also created and managed several mixed media campaigns which included targeted display ads, print ads, email marketing, search ads and social networking campaigns. Rebecca began her design career working on high-end residential design projects, space planning, custom furniture design, FF&E material selections and concept development at the San Francisco-based firm, Applegate Tran Interiors.

Rebecca has a passion for community service, and participated in the 2013 San Francisco Decorator Showcase, one of the country’s most revered charity showcase events featuring work from the region’s top designers. She also participated in San Francisco American Red Cross’s largest fundraising event: The Red Cross Charity Gala Dinner, Hope By Design, and serves as a Marketing and Programs Director on the board for LiveLoveLau, a non-profit foundation designed to help bereaved children, where she manages all of the branding, messaging, positioning and marketing programs.  

Rebecca holds a master's degree from the Academy of Art University under The School of Interior Architecture and Design and a bachelor's degree in Business Marketing from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
